Balboa School is pleased to introduce Family Connection from Naviance, a web-based service designed especially for student. Family Connection is a comprehensive website
that students can use to help in making decisions about colleges and careers. Through Family Connection, the counselor is able to track and analyze data about college and career plans, so it provides up-to-date information that’s specific to Balboa School.
Family Connection will allow students to:
- Get involved in the planning and advising process – Build a resume, complete on-line surveys, and manage timelines and deadlines for making decisions about colleges and careers.
- Research colleges – Students can research and compile a list of colleges that they are interested in. Learn about admissions and deadlines from colleges!
- Search for local & national scholarships – Apply for scholarships using a national database.
- FREE ACT & SAT prep – Prepare for the upcoming SAT or ACT exam through Family Connection. Take a free diagnostic test now! (Students can access the Test Prep on the “resources” section)
- FREE reading practice- Improve reading by tailoring reading to students’ interests. (Students can access the Total Reader on the “resources” section)
All Students are welcome to see our counselor in the Counseling Office with questions or comments concerning Family Connection.
