Tuition & Fees

Elementary Grades Kindergarten-Five
Middle School Grades Six-Eight

Annual Payment: $9,000 – Registration Fee $100.00
10% off by March 1, 2021 $8,100
Monthly tuition payments:
1st payment: $1,980 (August 2021 & May 2022 tuition payments) due April 1, 2021
Monthly payments: $990 (Sept 2021 – April 2022) due 1st of each month

High School Grades Nine-Twelve

Annual Payment: $10,000 – Registration Fee $100.00
10% off by March 1, 2021 $9,000
Monthly tuition payments:
1st payment: $2,200 (August 2021 & May 2022 tuition payments) due April 1, 2021
Monthly payments:

$1,100 (Sept 2021 – April 2022) due 1st of each month

Athletic Fee:

$500 per sport per student is applied to any student participating in the Balboa School athletic program. This fee is non-refundable.

Sibling Discount Program

At Balboa School, the Sibling Discount Program is our way of saying thank you for your trust and confidence in our school, not only for your first child’s education but all of your children’s education. Balboa School understands that tuition for a family of multiple children can be difficult to afford and Balboa School wants to make it easier for your family by offering a discount.

Eligibility criteria:

The oldest child will pay full price. All younger children are 20% off original tuition. No other coupons can be applied to any the children qualifying for sibling discount, except financial aid. Friends & Family Referral program will not apply to your children, but can be used if you refer other families to Balboa School. When the oldest child graduates, the next oldest child will become full price, and any younger siblings will continue to be 20% off. Any family with multiple children of the same age, to include but not limited to twins, triplets, etc. will still pay full tuition on one child and will receive the 20% off the remaining children. If tuition is paid in full, by the discounted date parents are still eligible for the early pay discount of 10%. Early pay discount for new students is 14 days after enrollment but no later than 1st day of school. Early pay discount for returning students is March. Ex: child is enrolled in 2019/2020 school year, then early pay discount for 2020/2021 is March 1st of 2020. If tuition is paid on a monthly payment plan, finance charges are assessed at the full tuition rate not the discounted rate.

Financial aid can be combined with the discount program to offer the best rates possible rate for your children. All inquiries about financial aid and the discount program can be directed to Accounting:

Refund Requirements

* Refund request must be made in writing 30 days prior to withdrawal from school.
* If 30 days notice is not given, the calculation date is based on the first day of the students’ unexcused absences or the refund email request date.

* Refunds will be issued within 60 days of the request.


Refund – Domestic

Refunds are available on domestic tuition rates only. Families that paid the annual tuition before the child started school. 

Refunds are based on the money received. Any coupons or discounts offered at the time of registration have no monetary value when determining a refund. Non-refundable items include but are not limited to: scholarship granted tuition, enrollment fees, tutoring fees and athletic fees. If 30 days withdrawal notice is not received, the refund will be calculated off the date the refund was requested by email and the first unexcused absence the student had, whichever is later. 

Students enrolling after the school year has begun are subject to a different refund schedule based on the number of days student attended. 


Refund – International

Refunds will only be offered to students requesting to attend Balboa School and have been denied their visa. A copy of the denial letter from the consulate or USCIS is required before processing the refund.
